Genealogical Data

The Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis shared some indexes to the baptism and marriage registers for this closed parish with the St. Louis Genealogical Society. StLGS has not edited these indexes in any way.

Microfilms of most of the actual registers from this parish are available in the Emerson History and Genealogy Center at St. Louis County Clark Family Branch or at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Again, this is only an index. The actual register will contain additional information on the sacramental event, i.e., witnesses, presiding priest, date of the ceremony, etc.

Indexes to the following registers are available by clicking the links:

The first building opened in 1854 at North 8th Street and Chestnut; it closed in 1872 due to a collapse of the building. A second building opened in 1874 at Jefferson and Lucas. It merged with St. Kevin in 1889, taking the name St. Kevin for a few years. This building closed in 1902. In 1904 a third building opened at Lafayette and Longfellow, still merged with St. Kevin but again using the name Immaculate Conception. The congregation merged further with St. Henry in 1977 and closed in 2005.
