1767  Clement Delor de Treget establishes a village south of St. Louis
1794  Delor’s Village is officially called “Carondelet” taking its name from the governor of the Louisiana Territory
1818  First Carondelet Church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Joseph of the Angels, was built
1826  Carondelet sells 1,800 acres of land to the United States Government for $5. The land eventually becomes Jefferson Barracks
1832  Eiler’s survey establishes the boundaries of Carondelet and it is incorporated as a town.
1870  On April 7, the City of Carondelet is annexed by the City of St. Louis
