Born in February 1839 in Hannover, Germany, Henry Albers married Margaret Koetting? in 1866. Margaret was born in Hannover, Germany, on 21 June 1842. In 1867, Henry and Margaret immigrated to the United States and settled in Florissant, St. Louis County, Missouri. The family lived in St. Louis County and Lincoln County, Missouri. Henry and Margaret had twelve children, but only nine are known.

- Mary Albers was born 10 May 1868 in Florissant, St. Louis County, Missouri. She married August Restle and died 15 February 1931 in the City of St. Louis.
- Margaret Albers was born 11 October 1869 in Florissant. She married Bernard Schroer and died on 26 February 1943 in the City of St. Louis.
- Elizabeth “Lizzie” Albers was born 10 January 1871 in Florissant. She married Bernard Rubbelke and died 28 August 1951 in St. Louis.
- Anna Albers was born 10 May 1872. She married John Stindt and died 13 July 1934 in St. Louis.
- Rose Albers was born 15 July 1875. She married John Foerstel and died 26 December 1945 in St. Louis.
- Caroline “Carrie” Albers was born 8 November 1877 in Lincoln County, Missouri. She married Bernard Simon and died 21 September 1965 in DeSoto, Jefferson County, Missouri.
- Bernard “Barney” Albers was born 6 July 1879 in Lincoln County. He married Anna Kistner and died 14 June 1940 in St. Louis.
- Herman Albers was born 16 December 1885 in Florissant. He married Eleanor Hardnacke and died 2 May 1957 in California, but he is buried in the City of St. Louis.
- John Albers was born 26 August 1886 in Florissant. He married Callie Powelson and died 21 March 1956 in Lincoln County.

At the time of the 1870 census, Henry and Margaret and their family lived in Florissant, where Henry worked as a house carpenter. At the time of the 1880, 1900, and 1910 censuses, Henry was a farmer and the family lived in Lincoln County.
Henry died on 22 September 1915 and Margaret died on 25 November 1917, both in Lincoln County, Missouri.
