Bethel United Methodist Church Subscriptions
Located at the junction of Wild Horse Creek and Hardt Roads, Bethel United Methodist Church was formed in 1858. In 1875, a new church was constructed on donated property along Manchester Road in Pond, St. Louis County.
Names of church members and the dollar amount of their donations are included in this index. Some neighbors made donations but were not members of the church. The exact date of this list is unknown. Death dates recorded in the Bethel Cemetery may provide clues to the date of this record.
Dr. John Gooch, former pastor of Bethel, wrote a church history and granted permission for St. Louis Genealogical Society to publish this index, which was originally published in the 1996 St. Louis Genealogical Society Quarterly, volume 29, number 2, pages 47–48.
