The Evangelical Church of the Holy Ghost death records for 1846–1848 were transcribed and indexed. This index includes the name and age, gender of deceased, the cause of death noted in the record, and the date of death. This may be the only death record for these people. The St. Louis Death Register did not start until 1850, and cemetery records may or may not exist.

Holy Ghost was the first Evangelical Church in St. Louis established in the 1830s. This church established Holy Ghost cemetery, commonly called Picker’s Cemetery.

Dorothy Griffith transcribed and contributed this information in the 1974 St. Louis Genealogical Society Quarterly, volume 7, number 1, pages 33–34.
